The Concordia Foundation and the Concordia family of care and services are pleased to announce that the 2018 Gift of Health Gala will take place on Friday, April 20th, 2018 at the Club Regent Event Centre. Every year, the Gift of Health Gala raises awareness and support for the critical programs and services that Concordia Hospital provides.
This year’s Gala occurs within two important milestones: Concordia Hospital’s 90th anniversary of providing health and hope to the community and Concordia Foundation’s 35th Anniversary of preserving the high quality of health and wellness services provided by the Concordia Family of Services.

This year, along with providing continual care, our fundraising priority is the completion of our 5 Comfort Care Rooms. These rooms offer patients and their families the opportunity to be together and celebrate life during a loved one’s final days.
We have one room remaining thanks to the generous donations of our board and corporate sponsors. Funds raised this year will help build our final room. Our goal for this event is to finalize the Comfort Care campaign and build the fifth room with your help.
We are proud to deliver these programs and services with your support… as we approach our first 90 years and plan for the needs of our community for years into the future.
We have an exciting evening planned under the leadership of the Gala Chair, Regan Archambault, and her committee. Food, glamour, fellowship, networking, and entertainment as well as some great prizes and raffle items.
This year’s entertainment will feature an amazing group of local musicians who have entertained audiences worldwide and have been a staple in our community for over 25 years. For your pre-dinner entertainment, we are pleased to welcome, under the direction of Garth Rempel, Miles Mac Superphonic.
Superphonic is a talented 8 piece instrumental group from Miles McDonnell Collegiate born as a Jazz Combo in 2011 who have grown their repertoire to include Funk, Reggae, Rock, Latin, and Improvisation. Director Garth Rempel is a talented singer in many styles and genres and is a well-recognized music teacher who, along with his wife Lisa, directs the Winnipeg Youth Chorus.
Our main event entertainment has performed in concert halls, on radio and television (both on national and international stages) and has performed main stage for Queen Elizabeth II at her Gala Golden Jubilee. We are so pleased to have, under the direction of Zane Zalis, Prodigy.
Founded in 1983 initially as a rhythm section, these 10 amazing student performers not only provide entertaining renditions of the songs you love, they also perform their and fellow students compositions with ease, grace and velvet smoothness. Director, Zane Zalis has created music for the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, CBC and Rainbow Stage. His symphonic contemporary oratorio – I Believe – performed to sell out audiences in Winnipeg, Toronto, New York and Murau, Austria.
We hope you enjoy listening to the artists and musicians of the future… all from the heart of our community!
