Concordia Connection Summer 2026

Because Every Memory Matters

Wouldn’t it be something if we had the opportunity to see ourselves through other people’s eyes, even just for a second? It would allow us to step out of our own little bubble of insecurity, doubt and self-loathing, and get a fresh perspective on who we truly are, in the way God knit each of us? We are all fearfully and wonderfully made, with individual talents and strengths that make us who we are. We should always remember to be encouraging to one another of these things   We wanted to honour this sentiment in this issue

At Concordia Hospital and Concordia Place, we see it every day.

A patient who no longer recognizes their surroundings.
A spouse trying to comfort someone who no longer remembers their name.
A family overwhelmed, navigating fear, confusion, and loss.

Dementia does not just affect memory—it affects dignity, connection, and the ability to feel safe in the world.

Through the Memory Matters Campaign, the Concordia Foundation is committed to transforming how we care for patients living with dementia—and how we support the families who love them.Welcome to the Concordia Connection Summer 2026. In this issue, we’ll explore stories of the people and programs at the Concordia Campus. Home is more than just a place; it’s a feeling, an anchor in the storm of life, and a soul sanctuary.

Within these pages, you’ll discover diverse content curated to introduce you to remarkable individuals who will inspire and instill hope. We’ve designed a space that celebrates the beauty of shared experiences and the joy derived from serving and giving.
