Concordia Hospital and Concordia Foundation launched the Patel Simulated Learning Centre — a cutting-edge training lab designed to elevate patient safety and emergency preparedness.
Thanks to the generous support of Drs. Why This Centre Matters
Life-threatening events can happen without warning. Yet healthcare professionals have limited chances to experience these emergencies in real life, so they must be prepared before they occur. Simulation-based training fills this gap.
The Patel Centre provides realistic, hands-on training for urgent care physicians, nurses, students, respiratory therapists, and others. It helps them detect patient deterioration, manage cardiac arrests, and respond confidently in high-stakes moments.
What It Offers
- Real-world scenarios to build clinical decision-making and teamwork
- Safe space to learn from mistakes — without patient risk
- Customizable training for learners at every level
- Continuous development to stay ahead of new tech and practices
- Detailed feedback and performance review after each session
- Collaborative, interdisciplinary learning
- Cost-effective, scalable education

This Centre is a vital extension of Concordia’s commitment to continuous learning and high-quality care.
