Will I get a tax receipt for my donation?
The Concordia Foundation Inc. is a registered charity and is authorized by the Canada Revenue Agency to issue official receipts for income tax purposes. Our registered charitable number is 1306 3336 RR0001

Please note that we do not issue charitable tax receipts for the purchase of raffle tickets, merchandise, or sponsorships for events.
I would like to donate by cheque. Who do I make it payable to?
Please make your cheque payable to The Concordia Foundation, 1095 Concordia Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2K 3S8. Please designate your donation and we honour all designations such as a donation for Concordia Place, Operation Walk Manitoba, Arthroplasty Research. Your receipt will note your designation.
I am interested in making a gift of securities. How do I do that?
The first step is to talk with your financial and legal advisor to determine the best approach and timing for your personal or corporate situation. You can then call or email us to discuss how you wish to make this donation. Our policy is to sell securities that are donated, on the same day and a receipt is issued to you for the sale. We can offer an easy online approach that is secure on CanadaHelps.org. by clicking here.
How do I make a memorial donation or a tribute gift?
This is a meaningful way to memorialize a loved one, a friend or public figure. A tribute gift can also be a meaningful way to remember a birthday, an anniversary or special occasion. The Foundation will send a personalized card in your name to the recipient or family member and a tax receipt is issued to the donor. We do not reveal the amount of the gift unless you indicate you want us to do so. You can make an easy online tribute gift here or call our office to discuss. We would love to help you!

Can I arrange a monthly donation?
Yes! Monthly giving can help suit your budget and we appreciate and honour these monthly gifts with all our heart. You can designate where you wish the donation to go towards as well. You can set this up with us either via CanadaHelps.org or call or email us and we can help you set this up. 204.661.7156
We provide an annual receipt for monthly gifts in February the following year.
Can I make a secure donation online?
Yes! We subscribe to CanadaHelps.org which is a secure platform and is a registered charity supported by the major banks. Your credit card donation is secure and is a ‘masked’ payment so that once you card has been entered, it is deleted and not kept on file. Your online receipt will be emailed to you within about 15 minutes. You can link to this platform easily here.
Who are the Foundation’s auditors and is there an audited statement available?
Gislason Targownik Peters (GTP) Chartered Professional Accountants provide us with advice and audit services for The Concordia Foundation Inc, Concordia Childcare Centre, and Operation Walk Manitoba.

What is the Foundation’s Privacy Policy?
The Concordia Foundation is committed to donor privacy. We do not sell, trade or in any way distribute donor information. If a donor wishes to remain anonymous, we honour that.
How can I remove my name from the Foundation’s online list or mailing list?
Just call us at 204-661-7443 or email us at info@concordiafoundation.ca and we will remove your name from our list. You may also opt-out from our online announcements and newsletter. We follow the guidelines set out by CASL. We will be sorry to see you go but understand completely!
Where is the Foundation’s office located?
We are open 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Friday but often can be available via email or online. We are located on the Ground Floor of Concordia Hospital across from the Concordia Community Clinic and Pharmacy. Our reception or friendly screeners can help direct you as well. Or call us when you arrive, and we can come to find you in the lobby.
I understand that the Foundation supports Operation Walk. How does this work?
The Foundation supports Operation Walk Manitoba, which is a non-profit corporation awaiting its charitable status from the CRA. The Foundation has supported this humanitarian mission conducted by staff from Concordia as well as other hospitals in Manitoba including the Grace Hospital and Brandon. We process donations designated for Operation Walk and issue the charitable receipts. For more information or to donate toward this organization please see us at Operation Walk Manitoba. This organization is governed by an elected Board of Directors and Chaired by Dr. David Hedden.
I am a grateful patient and wish to honour a caregiver.
We are so appreciative when a patient or family member remembers us in this way. We strive to provide excellent patient experience with compassion and caring. Gifts received through this program help support patient-related enhancements such as equipment, research and special programs that would not be funded otherwise. We also support the Spiritual Care program at Concordia.

Does the Foundation have any events coming up?
Due to COVID-19 we have had to suspend most of our gatherings and events in 2020 and 2021. In 2022 we are hosting our signature event, the Concordia Classic Charity Golf Tournament on August 17, 2022 and we are working together with the Operation Walk Manitoba board to showcase “Ignite Hope” Gala on May 26, 2022.
